With support from our 628 donors, we raised $373,580 for the Annual Fund in 2022. Your gifts support scholarships for future campers and students, DEI efforts for faculty and staff, buildings and site improvements, special projects, endowed funds, and more. We are sincerely grateful for your continued support, and we look forward to what 2023 brings!

Our people are what make Eagle’s Nest and The Outdoor Academy what it is: campers and students who arrive at 43 Hart Road for an unforgettable Camp session or semester at OA, their families who trust us to care for them while they’re in Pisgah Forest, and the dedicated staff and faculty who pour their hearts into carrying out the ENF mission. You, our loyal donor, make this all possible through your support of our scholarship funds, promoting foundation-wide DEI efforts, and supporting professional development for staff and faculty.

Our campus and its surrounding community are deeply valued by the young people who learn to foster a connection to the natural world and develop an understanding of the relationship between people and the environment here in the Little River Valley. Placing our property under a conservation easement in 2016, investing in sustainable practices, expanding our Garden to Table program, and looking ahead to implementing additional energy efficiency measures across campus are just a few examples of how your support has both protected this special place and continued to provide a powerful learning environment.
